Vocational Workshop Series – Session 1
We believe that adults with Down Syndrome and other developmental disabilities benefit from learning various social and professional skills that will help them be successful in the 21st century. This series is beneficial to our adults with Ds and developmental disabilities by providing activities and guidance about various skills that they will need in their workplace environments, as well as in their everyday lives.
We provide two separate three-session Vocational Series. The first half of this series will take place in Fall 2019 and the second session will be in Spring 2020. This series will be available to adults with Down Syndrome (or other disabilities) who are 18 and older. Each session will focus on a specific skill that will support participants in their quest for successful employment.
The dates for the Fall 2019 are:
- Wednesday, September 25 – Session 1 – Communication Skills and Positive Attitudes
- Wednesday, October 23 – Session 2 – Teamwork
- Wednesday, November 20- Session 3 – Networking and Professionalism
