SUMMARY:Charlotte Ballet - The Nutcracker (Sensory-Friendly Performance)
DESCRIPTION:This year Charlotte Ballet’s sensory friendly version of the Nutcracker will take place on Thursday\, December 13 at 1 PM at the Belk Theater. \nIn addition to allowing audiences to sit wherever they choose during the performances (even on the floor or in front of the stage) the following help create a sensory friendly experience:\n– Abbreviated performance length (one hour total run time) and extended intermission (30 minutes)\n– House lights remain at half-brightness and sound is controlled through recorded music\n– Entry and exit to the theater is not restricted—viewers can come and go as they please\n– Designated quiet areas\n– Charlotte Ballet dancers\, staff\, ushers and volunteers receive training to ensure an excellent experience for those attending \n\nCharlotte Ballet has partnered with the Allegro Foundation…a Champion for Children with Disabilities\, Autism Speaks and InReach for the performances. Support for Charlotte Ballet Education Programming is provided by Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina. Tickets are $15 each and can be purchased by calling 704.348.5752.
