The Down Syndrome Association (DSA) of Greater Charlotte is an approved 501(c)3 non-profit, family support organization. The goal of the DSA of Greater Charlotte and its families is to enable individuals with Down syndrome (Ds) to reach their full potential and become respected members of their community. From May through September, our camp programs bring connection, joy, and growth to youth and adults with Down syndrome across our 12-county service area and beyond.
Our mission is to ensure that every individual with Down syndrome has access to inclusive, supportive, and fun camp experiences. Whether it’s their first time or they’re seasoned campers, we’re here to make it memorable.

Summer Day Camp for youth ages 5–21
Hours: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM
North Campus: June 16 – August 1 (no camp June 30-July 4)
South Campus: June 23 – August 8 (no camp June 30-July 4)
Overnight Retreat for youth ages 10–17
Dates: August 13–16
Location: YMCA Camp Harrison, Boomer, NC
Weekend Retreat for adults ages 18+
Spring: May 16–18
Fall: September 26–28
