UPside Club at Charlotte Motor Speedway

Teens ages 16 and older and adults with Down syndrome are invited to join the UPside Club for a fun and exciting volunteer opportunity at Charlotte Motor Speedway during Bank of America 400 weekend!

Participants will volunteer alongside DSAGC staff and the Speedway Children’s Charities team to help with the 50/50 raffle. Volunteers will interact with race fans, share information about the raffle, encourage participation, and help create a welcoming and inclusive experience for everyone attending the event.

Your volunteer time makes an impact! Speedway Children’s Charities is an organization that the Down Syndrome Association of Greater Charlotte applies to for grant funding to help support our specialized camp experiences for children, teens, and adults with Down syndrome. By volunteering at the 50/50 raffle, UPside Club members are helping support an organization that helps make meaningful camp experiences possible for members of our community.

This is also a great opportunity for UPside Club members to build leadership skills, social-emotional communication, confidence, community engagement, and real-world volunteer experience while connecting with others and experiencing the excitement of Charlotte Motor Speedway.

There are options to register for two different volunteer time windows or the full 2:00–8:00 PM shift. Please review the registration information for specific time options and details.

This is a drop-off opportunity, although parents and caregivers are welcome to stay and support their participant.

Please note: This is a loud and high-energy environment, with crowds, announcements, music, and race-related noise. Families should consider whether this setting will be a comfortable fit for their participant.
