World Down Syndrome Day Celebration

Charlotte Celebrates World Down Syndrome Day on March 21st!

The Down Syndrome Association of Greater Charlotte and KennedyStrong Foundation invite you to join us as we celebrate people with Down syndrome!

For information on all events and happenings on 3/21/21 check out our Facebook event page!

Celebrate diversity & differences by wearing silly, colorful socks on 3/21 because socks look like chromosomes and Down syndrome occurs when you have 3 of the 21st chromosome instead of 2! Share pictures of your socks and tag us (@dsagreatercharlotte on FB and @dsaofgreatercharlotte on Instagram)!

Watch the movie “Where Hope Grows” (available on Hulu and Amazon Prime) and register to meet actor David DeSanctis during a FREE Zoom call March 21st at 3:21pm. David will share what he enjoyed about the movie where his character has Down syndrome (and so does he), lives on his own, has a full time job and helps bring healing and wholeness to the other characters in the movie.

We will light the Duke Energy Tower YELLOW & BLUE on 3/21!
